Dry Sheep Equivalent (DSE) is a standard unit frequently used in Australia to compare the feed requirements of different classes of stock or to assess the carrying capacity and potential productivity of a given farm or area of grazing land.As an Australian, I am now trying to use this unit as frequently as I can. Apparently 1 DSE equals about 7600 kilojoules, or about 3.8 Big Macs.
