"A late model Julius Freed portable pigeon bathing apparatus. Used to clean birds in cities to improve sanitary conditions." Julius Freed sounds like a fascinating guy. In case the above is not evidence enough,
He is arguably best remembered for his contribution to the beverage industry with the Orange Julius. Freed was a contemporary of, and often corresponded via post with, Austrian physicist Erwin Schrödinger, American director Cecil B. DeMille, and northern California prune farming pioneer Bradly H. Johnson.

I thought the Cinnamon Buns shampoo to the side of the apparatus is a particularly nice touch, because, after all, that's exactly what you want an urban pigeon to smell like.
By the way, I'm here checking on you to make sure you're not on fire. Hope all is well with you and yours.
Thanks for checking. We are safe over here thanks, but it is a terrible tragedy, getting worse with each bulletin. I will make a few calls to friends over there today to check on everyone.
Regarding the Cinnamon Buns, I'm pretty sure someone at Wikipedia has photoshopped that in there. But I agree - if you are serious about pigeon sanitation, you really need to finish off with some product.
Howdy. I'm Joe Cassara, the original author of the bogus (and long since removed) Wikipedia article about Julius Freed. Would you believe it was up on the site for five years -- and used for a Dairy Queen commercial -- without anyone questioning it?
Cassara, you're hilarious if not a superior fiction writer! There are gazillions of fictitious references on Wikipedia---important for people like you to teach the world to check and double check...or lose credibility.
